Salman Ali, MD

Dr. Salman Ali is the Founder and Director of Maryland Glaucoma and Eye Care. Dr. Ali is a board certified ophthalmologist with years of experience in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases. Dr. Ali completed an intensive six-year accelerated BS/MD program at Howard University in Washington D.C. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and then with honors from medical school. After completing an internship at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, Dr. Ali went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious University of Rochester Eye Institute in Rochester, New York. Dr. Ali completed fellowship training in glaucoma and advanced cataract surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan. Being from Baltimore, Dr. Ali returned to the area following his training. Currently, he is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Ali is actively involved in medical education and is constantly exploring novel techniques for the management of eye diseases. In his spare time, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughters, biking and taking walks along the many trails Maryland offers.

As one of the area’s few medical practices with a full time glaucoma specialist, our practice provides a wide range of services, including comprehensive medical and surgical care of eye diseases. Our office is equipped with advanced imaging and diagnostic equipment to allow thorough investigation of potentially blinding eye diseases. Rest assured that you will receive exemplary care, with ample time with the doctor for all of your questions and concerns.
